REBUILDING

OF UKRAINE

The HUM Foundation was established in 2023 by U.S. land developer and philanthropist Dell Loy Hansen after he visited Ukraine and witnessed the horror of the genocide war. He identified three fundamental needs: food, money, and shelter - these pillars guide the Foundation. This is our story.

MISSION:

To serve the Ukrainian Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who have lost everything to Russia’s invasion and genocide war. We have a goal to reignite hope and dignity by rebuilding communities. Our foundation aims to be a catalyst for the development of local infrastructures and economies.

DIGNITY DOLLARS

MAY 2022 - ONGOING

The Dignity Dollars Program is a hallmark program to assist Ukrainians who have been traumatized by years of war. The program provides Ukrainians with much-needed cash to pay for necessary medical treatments, daily living supplies, or buy a gift for a loved one.

MODULAR HOUSES

March 2022 - DECEMBER 2023

Over 150 modular homes were placed on lots to replace destroyed homes. The program was sponsored by Dell Loy Hansen, his wife, Julie Hansen, and their business enterprises. This project helped families remain on their land to rebuild their lives in their community.

HOT MEALS

February 2023 - October 2023

This program is run by To Ukraine with Love. We joined them and funded over 44,000 hot meals in 2023. Many of these were served in active fighting zones near the Russian border. This program also included delivering food and medicine to the elderly and disabled in Eastern Ukraine.

In 2024, the HUM Foundation will open a clubhouse that will offer nightly free dinners to the residents at our Chudo Senior Village.
