DIGNITY DOLLARS
MUCH-NEEDED CASH
ASSISTANCE
The Dignity Dollars Program is a hallmark of Dell Loy Hansen’s personal efforts to assist Ukrainians who have been traumatized by years of war.
BEGINNING OF
DIGNITY DOLLARS
During our first visit to Ukraine, we saw a lot of horror and devastation on the lands that were destroyed. It was time to translate our mission of supporting people into tangible actions, to rebuild shattered shelters, and to meet the immediate needs of those who had endured the ravages of war.
In May 2022, our first cash assistance program helped over 130 families, all displaced from the genocide. This program was distributed in shelters in the Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions.
CASH CARD PROGRAM
With the support of David Levitt’s Institute, we organized a Cash Card Program to support 500 families empowering them to make choices that best suited their unique circumstances to meet their needs including vital medications, rebuilding homes, food, supplies, and clothing.

VILLAGE OF SLOBODA
RESURRECTED VILLAGE WITH
THE HOPE FOR FUTURE
Our team came across the small village of Sloboda, Chernihiv Region. The population of Sloboda is 121 individuals, primarily consisting of elderly women while a lot of young ladies escaped after Russian soldiers raped them. The story of this place touched our hearts. Since then, our foundation has adopted the village of Sloboda and continues to support it.
Villagers receive hope back for a better future as they see that someone cares about them. They were gifted a bunch of bicycles for kids, had their houses repaired, and the reconstruction of the clubhouse will be done soon too.
Dignity Dollars Program allowed us to establish assistance for thousands of Ukrainians to receive not just financial support but also mental and emotional support, knowing that there is someone invested in their physical and emotional well-being.

Dignity Dollars program is an ongoing project. Currently, there are over 300 participants in this program. We have about 260 people who receive support continuously mostly getting an extra $100 for their needs, sometimes between $200-400 depending on their condition. Also, people receive this financial support during move-ins. We strive to rebuild lives, restore dignity, and foster a brighter future for the resilient people of Ukraine.
