20 new families arrived at Hansen Apartments. Each family has a tragic story: loss of property, loss of loved ones, experiences of captivity, psychological and physical traumas. And every story is always touching and heartbreaking. But listening to those stories helps us to stay motivated to keep working hard and strive to assist more people like these courageous Ukrainians.

Bringing dignity back to Ukrainians who lost everything is one of the most significant tasks for our organization. That's why it's always a great happiness for our team to see how people come back to live, find new jobs, work on the new hobbies, etc.

Since the start of the foundation’s work, we have received over 10,000 applications from Internally Displaced Persons who would like to join our housing community projects.

In Sofiivska Borschahivka (Kyiv region), we purchased about 200 apartments where people whose lives were destroyed by the horror of war can now get a fresh start in nurturing community and receive their dignity back.

More than half of these apartments are already occupied. Our vetting committee in Ukraine is carefully analyzing the current applications to make sure that we can help those who are in the most need right now. We prioritize helping those who try to evacuate from the most dangerous regions like Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia.

Move-in day is always so emotional and touching for all of our residents. Almost no one can believe that it is real and that they are entering their new home. Our Ukraine team is always supportive and understanding to ensure new residents feel welcomed and loved from the first minutes of their arrival.
