PHOENIX PROJECT

A REBUILDING PROGRAM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UKRAINIAN GOVERNMENT

PROJECT START - 2023

The Phoenix project provides the opportunity for Ukrainian families to return to their land and thrive once again.

The Ukrainian government's eRecovery program provides only a portion of the dollars needed to rebuild a destroyed home. The HUM Foundation provides additional funding to make the rebuilding of a home a reality. The average government assistance ranges from $30,000 to $60,000, with the remaining balance funded through donations.

Our goal is to rebuild 100 homes in the villages of Andriivka, Moschun, and Makariv in the Kyiv region.

HOW THE PHOENIX PROGRAM WORKS ON EXAMPLE

The Phoenix Project, launched with Kyiv Region authorities, rebuilds homes in Moschun, Makariv, and Andriivka, allowing families to stay on their land and within their communities. New homes are built on existing plots, matching or exceeding the size and quality of those lost. In 2024, we delivered six homes and aim to rebuild 150 more.

Here are the images of the model of the home in Makariv.

Our Phoenix Project is in partnership with Areté Collective. Following the generosity of our partners at the Areté Collective and the Loraloma community at Thomas Ranch, we will use a portion of our development proceeds to gift homes in support of their rebuilding efforts in the eastern Ukrainian village of Andriivka.

Each lot sold provides a generous contribution of $30,000 which is combined with the Ukrainian government rebuild program.
