Life After Evacuation: A Teacher’s Mission to Give Back

Evacuation is a word filled with both pain and hope—it marks the moment when life is divided into "before" and "after." It saves lives, but it also reshapes them in ways never imagined.

In the video below, we share the story of Ihor—a dedicated middle school teacher, fencing coach, and beloved mentor to his students. With the help of the "White Angels" police unit and the military, he was safely evacuated from a frontline village under relentless shelling.

Now, Ihor has found refuge in Hansen’s Miracle Village, where he is already helping residents with physical rehabilitation. And soon, children’s fencing classes will begin!
