From war to wonder: a journey to remember
Over 90 orphans and half-orphans living in Hansen Village and Hansen Apartments recently embarked on one of the most exciting journeys of their lives—a magical trip to Disneyland, Paris. For both the children and their accompanying parents, this escape from the harsh realities of war was a much-needed chance to immerse themselves in a world of joy and fantasy. The memories of this trip will undoubtedly stay with them for a long time.
This event held deep significance, not only for the Ukrainian families but also for our American team. Many children and grandchildren of our founder joined the trip which was a wonderful opportunity for both cultures to bond over shared moments of happiness. The adventure fostered new friendships and reminded everyone that even after the trauma of war, there are still places where kindness and joy can grow.
For these Ukrainian families, who have endured terrifying hardships, the trip was a symbol of hope and light in their lives. As a foundation, we feel a profound responsibility to help them reclaim their sense of happiness and hope for the future. It was a small but meaningful step toward emotional recovery.
Our commitment, alongside the invaluable support of our partners, is to restore faith in the kindness and generosity that still exist in the world. After so much darkness, these families deserve every bit of happiness, and together, we can continue to bring brightness back into their lives.
