Our founder, Dell Loy Hansen, has been supporting the village of Sloboda in the Chernihiv region since its liberation from Russian occupation. Since then, the villagers have received monthly financial support through our Dignity Dollars program. Over 230 houses were damaged, and 18 were completely destroyed since the start of the war. Our construction team has been actively repairing roofs and facades to help restore the village.

We are proud to announce that the renovation of the destroyed clubhouse is now complete. The clubhouse offers various amenities, including study rooms, a gym, offices, and a kitchen.

Currently, much of the government's support is focused on larger cities affected by the war, leaving small towns like Sloboda overlooked. Our founder was deeply moved by the courage and resilience of the people in Sloboda, who need to know they are not forgotten. The Hansen Ukrainian Mission is committed to restoring hope and a brighter future for those discouraged by the horrors of war.

If we consider all the villages in the community, I think it’s rare to find such a clubhouse even anywhere in the Chernihiv region. This is not just a community center—it’s a place where people can spend their evenings, as the area around this building is beautifully arranged.
